You can set Proclaim to auto-advance slides after a set amount of time. Additionally, you can add one of several transition types to your service items and change the duration of that transition whether or not your item is set to auto-advance. Your presentations include four sections in the order of service: the pre-service loop, warm-up, service, and post-service loop. Every section adds timed transitions automatically to your slides except for the service section, which you manually advance unless you add auto-advancing as shown here.
Note: If you want to animate text within a service item, like a sermon outline, you can set your text to fade-in when you click. Learn more about text editing tips and best practices.
Customize Slide Transitions:
- Pre-Service, Warm Up, and Post-Service Sections: You can adjust the length, type, and duration of transition.
- Service Section: or the service section, you can add an auto-transition and adjust its length, type, and duration.
Did you know? When you add an item to the pre-service, warm-up, or post-service sections, Proclaim automatically calculates the number of sections your service item needs to display based on the amount of text on the slide. You can, however, adjust the timing, type, or duration of the transition.
Skip ahead to:
Adjust the timing of the transition.
With any service item(s) selected, ensure Auto-advance is checked in the Content tab of your service item. Click the blue number to change the transition timing.
Every section except the service section is already set to auto-advance. The timing of the automatic transition display in gray in the order of service panel. To change this default timing, check Auto-advance as shown above and set a new time. (Learn more about Proclaim’s order of service format.)
Did you know? In the Service section only, you can also repeat a service item with multiple items (like an image slideshow) by checking Repeat next to the auto-advance timer. Repeated items will indefinitely loop until you manually advance.
Adjust the type of transition.
With any service item(s) selected, ensure Use transition is checked in the Content tab. Click the blue word (set “no” by default) and choose a new transition.
Note: To change all the transitions in your presentation at the same time, expand the Settings menu and select Presentation. Any changes you make here will apply to your entire presentation, except when you individually set a specific service item to use a different transition type (as shown here). By default, Proclaim sets every transition to a 1 second Fade. You can change this globally from the Presentation settings as just described or individually with each slide by following the directions above.
Adjust the duration of the transition.
With any service item(s) selected, ensure Use transition is checked in the Content tab. Click the blue number to change the duration of the set transition.
Note: To change all the transitions in your presentation at the same time, expand the Settings menu and select Presentation. Any changes you make here will apply to your entire presentation, except when you individually set a specific service item to use a different transition duration (as shown here). By default, Proclaim sets every transition to a 1 second Fade. You can change this globally from the Presentation settings as just described or individually with each slide by following the directions above.
