Create a Manual Slide Break
Everything you add to your Proclaim presentation is part of a service item. Each service item can contain one or multiple slides—Proclaim figures that for you! You focus on content, and we'll take care of styling.
If you do want more control, however, you can insert your own slide breaks. Move the cursor to the location you wish to create a slide break and click the slide break button . You can also manually insert your own slide breaks with a keyboard shortcut. Enter two dashes -- to achieve the same effect.
You can fade in additional lines of text on any Bible or content service item to reveal one point at a time. Fading in text is especially useful for bulleted or numbered lists to make your message more powerful to your audience.
To add a fade animation to any line of text, select the text and click the text fade button . You can also add the affect with a keyboard shortcut. Prefix each line you would like to fade in with two plus signs ++. The text fade will use your presentation's current transition effect.
Fill-in-the-blank hides a portion of text on a slide and fades it in when you're ready. To enable fill-in-the-blank, select your text and click the Fill in the Blank icon or simply enclose your text elements in underscores (the _ symbol) to use the keyboard shortcut. The preview on the right provides a live demonstration of the animation.
Did you know? You can use emphasis text to change the color of the underlined word or phrase. Select any word or phrase and select the emphasis text icon . You can change the color of the emphasis via the dropdown selector to the right of the icon.
Embedded Bible References
You can quickly embed any Bible verse into any Content service item without copying or pasting. Type in your reference surrounded by a set of double brackets (e.g. [[John 3:16]]).
Want to add multiple verses? Proclaim will automatically create as many slides as it needs to display the Bible reference.
Enter a blank line into a song
When you separate lyrics by pressing the Return key, it automatically creates a slide break. Alternatively, you can keep the lyrics on the same slide but separate them with a blank line. Just press Shift + Enter on a PC, or Control + Return on Mac.
