Publish Your Sermon Transcript with Logos

Print Friendly and PDF

You can publish your full sermon transcript on Faithlife Sermons directly from the Logos Sermon Builder. If applicable, Logos will even post handouts and audience questions along with your sermon.

1. Open the Sermon Builder

To build a sermon within Logos, open the Sermon Builder. You can do this by opening the Docs menu, clicking New, and selecting Sermon.

You can also open the sermon editor through the Tools menu.

2. Add Sermon Info

Provide a sermon title and any other relevant information. The more details you provide, the easier it will be for people to find the sermon.

With one click, you can set your sermon to auto-publish to Faithlife Sermons. You can choose to publish your sermon as your user account on Faithlife Sermons. Check or uncheck the box to toggle publish on or off.

Did you know? You can also send your sermon to Proclaim to present it on the date you set in your sermon info section.

3. Add sermon content

Sermon Builder gives you all the tools you need to craft a sermon. It will even create slides for you as you type, among many other powerful features.

4. Export your sermon

Click Publish in the top right-hand corner of Sermon Builder. From here you can Send to Faithlife ProclaimPost to Faithlife SermonsExport to PowerPoint, or Print/Export.

Note: If your sermon is set to publish automatically, it will publish at the given date.

Sending your sermon to Faithlife Proclaim will import your sermon slides directly into your service. A draft of your sermon is automatically created on Faithlife Sermons. After you record your sermon in Proclaim and publish it, your slides along with the accompanying audio will publish to Faithlife Sermons.

To bypass Proclaim and send the sermon directly to Faithlife Sermons, click Post to Faithlife Sermons. Select a Faithlife Sermons Profile and click Next. Posting your sermon as a draft will allow you to add any other media before officially publishing the sermon. When you’re ready, click Post. Your transcript and any designed handouts or questions will post to Faithlife Sermons.

5. Find your sermon on Faithlife Sermons

To find your sermon on Faithlife Sermons, navigate to sermons.faithlife.com in your browser and sign in. Click My Sermons to view a list of all your draft and published sermons.

Select the sermon you added from the Sermon Builder. You can add any audio or video files if applicable by dragging and dropping the files and Faithlife Sermons will display them on your sermon’s page.

Just below, you can toggle between your Notes & Transcripts and Handout or Sermon Questions if applicable.

Logos communicates with Faithlife Sermons to separate out your transcript, handout, and questions.

  • Notes: anything from the Sermon Builder except for the prompt style
  • Transcripts: transcribed text from your sermon audio
  • Handout: anything marked Handout in the Sermon Builder
  • Question: anything marked Question in the Sermon Builder

With a transcript uploaded to Faithlife Sermons, the Sermon Tone Analysis tool automatically evaluates the tone of your sermon and displays the results below.

Note: To edit your sermon’s transcript, return to Sermon Builder, make your changes and repeat the export process above. Faithlife Sermons will recognize the sermon and update the original sermon’s transcript. Any files or documents uploaded on Faithlife Sermons will remain untouched.
