Great question. Faithlife TV has resources for all kinds of uses.

Logos Mobile Education courses are great for small groups and Bible studies. You could build a small group around a Mobile Ed course, or use individual videos to supplement the curriculum you’re already using. Here are some courses you may want to start with:

  • Michael Goheen’s The Story of the Bible. The Bible is a grand collection of 66 separate books—how are those books unified? The Story of the Bible introduces students to the coherent, unifying story line that runs through the entire Bible. Dr. Mike Goheen shows how the drama of the Bible unfolds by tracing major theological themes across the OT and NT.
  • The Gospel Message in the Early Church, presented by a team of respected biblical scholars and theologians
  • Craig Evans’ The Gospel of Matthew in its Jewish Context. This course from distinguished New Testament professor Dr. Craig Evans discusses the original context in which Matthew wrote his Gospel, as well as his purpose for writing.
  • Douglas Moo’s Pauline Theology. This course provides you with a foundation to read, study, teach, and preach the message of the apostle Paul.

Other series you might want to use for a small group include:

  • William Paul Young’s Restoring the Shack. Stunningly filmed in “Big Sky” country, this inside look at how Paul's own life journey shaped his writing explores questions of faith, grief, wonder and relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • Many videos from the Bible Project are available on Faithlife TV.

Consider running a movie night, or use a Faithlife TV movie to supplement an event. Faithlife TV has some great documentaries that your church is sure to enjoy. Check out:

  • Fragments of Truth explores the transmission and reliability of the biblical text.
  • The Fantasy Makers examines the spiritual influences of J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and George MacDonald and the lasting impact their works have on our present-day culture.
  • Bonhoeffer weaves archival footage together with interviews with friends, family students of Bonhoeffer, leading historians and theologians to explore Bonhoeffer’s life and thought.

Let parents in your church know about the great children’s content available. Some of these include:

  • The Jesus Storybook Bible invites children to join in the greatest of all adventures, to discover for themselves that Jesus is at the center of God’s great story of salvation—and at the center of their Story too.
  • Bible Agent 7 is a cartoon series for elementary-aged children designed to spark their curiosity about the Bible.
  • Torchlighters. Each Torchlighters episode presents the story of a true-life hero from Christian history. Kids will see what God can do through a "Torchlighter" and will be challenged to carry their own torch while learning about the history of our faith.
